If you choose to donate, have fun paying child support. British law now practically guarantees children the right to know the identity of their fathers, even in cases of sperm donation. It's the whole reason nobody is donating.

False.
> The law states that sperm donors through HFEA-licensed clinics have NO legal or financial responsibility for any child conceived using their sperm, even if the donor-conceived individual contacts you.

Potential sperm donors don't seem to agree. Since they're aren't any.

The risks resulting from identifying identifying information being kept at all are very serious. Laws change all the time, and men are wise to demand anonymity as a logical safety precaution.

Even if the laws changed, anyone case of someone trying to get financial support from a sperm donor would never hold up in court, since at the time they sign a contract saying they have no financial responsibility. I can see why that might make them nervous though.

> Andy Bathie, 37, said the women, who approached him five years ago after other male friends declined to become donors, assured him he would have no personal or financial involvement in the children's upbringing.
> Legally, only men who donate sperm through licensed fertility clinics do not become the father of any children conceived using their donation.

There's your problem right there. That guys a moron and did it as a favor for a friend with nothing to legally back him up instead of donating through an actual fertility clinic. His case does not apply to what we're talking about here.

i think it's about time for american men to step up and do the honorable thing and top 'em off. Hell, once the kids figure out their funny accents i'm sure the english won't be able to tell the difference. Just don't expect them to prance around and like soccer.

They won't get accents. Only a British one. Or Scottish, or where ever in the British Isles these units end up.

But they're "american" kids. As soon as they figure out the funny brititsh accent i'm sure they'll be fine.
i've already sent my first batch. Priority mail. it cost over 5 dollars, so i requested they sign for it.
Should i have got insurance?

I tried that for a while, but eventually dehydration or exhaustion will get to you. To keep it up, you have to get other people in on the game. I've found freelance glory hole service is a good way to top off those sandwich baggies.

sandwich baggies?

Well, jars are expensive. I tried using milk cartons for a while, but something happens when the milk sits with the semen. If I leave it closed, the gas or whatever builds up and the jug explodes after a while. If I leave it open, it gets all of my clothes smelly, and my manager sends me home early from work for smelling up the patties.

Why don't you just clean out the milk first? Baggies seem like a hassle.
